Coat, Clothing, and Toiletry Drive for the Miracle on Long Street Holiday Giveaway
Dates: Oct. 24 – Dec. 12.
Please dig through your closets and find any outerwear, general clothing, soap, deodorant, toothpaste/toothbrushes, new socks, new underwear, blankets/throws, toys, etc. There are also volunteer opportunities on Saturday, Dec. 13. Volunteers are needed to help sort donations and set up for the big event that day. There are three time slots available for volunteers: 9 a.m.–Noon, 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m., and 2–4 p.m.
Get Involved
- Donate items – bring them to the member meeting on Nov. 12, bring them to the hall, or contact your rep to bring them in.
- Volunteer – Email Cindy Krebs if you are interested in volunteering.
Food Drive for the Mid-Ohio Food Collective
Dates: Oct. 24 – Dec. 18.
We will collect nonperishable food items such as chili with beans, canned tuna, canned vegetables, canned meat, soup with vegetables, peanut butter, canned fruit in juice or light syrup. Please no glass containers.

Christmas Cares / Union Shares
Dates: Dec. 15–21.
This annual event at St. Stephen’s Community House is in partnership with the United Way of Central Ohio and the Central Ohio Labor Council, AFL-CIO, and provides over 3,000 union families with 1-2 weeks’ worth of food to help families during the holiday break. We are seeking volunteers to assist with building boxes, packing food, or distributing it to union families in need. You will need to use your own leave time for this.

- Union Families that need some assistance can register here. Union membership will be verified by the Central Ohio Labor Council.
- Sign up to volunteer for a shift.
