Last night at the City of Columbus council meeting, President Wilson was invited to speak on behalf of our membership in support of frontline workers to receive hazard pay. Needless to say, she was very well received. The legislation was approved to issue one-time hazard payments to frontline city employees in an amount up to $1,000.00 per employee. All the details have not been worked out and we will be providing updates as they become available.
Today at the union hall, there is an annual audit being performed by a third party independent auditing firm. This is done to ensure that the union’s financials comply with proper accounting procedures and to ensure that we follow the highest financial standards.
Any employee that believe they has been exposed to the cornavirus please fill out the attached form. Under description of pandemic exposure indicate if it was possible or confirmed exposure and return the completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Human Rights Committee is seeking prepackaged food donations to assemble “snack packs” for Ronald McDonald House Charities. View Flyer.
Requested items include non-perishable, shelf stable, individually packaged foods including:
pudding or fruit cups
cheese or peanut butter crackers
small bags of chips/pretzels/popcorn
small boxes of oatmeal packets
bottled water or juice boxes/pouches
